Weekend All-Access Passes are All Gone!

2011
05.25

We’ve still got day passes available for each day of the fest, but our weekend long passes are SOLD OUT as of this morning.

Christina Gausas workshop is SOLD OUT

2011
05.19

With the sellout of our second improv master class there are now just a handful of workshop spots with Rachel and Dave left for this year’s Duofest.

We are once again maintaining a waitlist for Christina’s workshop so that we might be able to let 1-2 additional students into the session or open a second morning workshop is demand is strong enough. To get on this list, just email duofest@phillyimprovtheater.com with the subject “Christina Gausas Waitlist” and your name and phone number in the body of your message.

Glad to see everyone so excited to learn – you’d never guess it was the end of the school year!

JUST ADDED: Workshop with Austin’s Rachel and Dave!

2011
05.18

Due to the greater than expected demand for workshops at this year’s fest, we’re excited to add a second workshop with Austin, Texas duo Rachel and Dave focused on relationship work in scenes. If anyone understands this, it’s probably a real-life husband and wife duo who are both Second City alums!

Enrollment is already open over in the Workshops section of the Duofest site and is also available via www.phillyimprovtheater.com as well. Duofest Performers will receive an email with a link to their secret discounted registration page shortly.

Susan Messing Improv Master Class SOLD OUT

2011
05.18

Didn’t we tell you this was going to happen?

There are no longer spaces available in the Saturday morning workshop with Susan Messing, although we have started a waitlist in case spaces open up and the producers are talking with Susan about adding a second workshop if demand warrants it. If you’d like to get on the waitlist, please email us with “Susan Messing Waitlist” in the subject line and include your name and phone number in the body of your message. Our email address is: duofest@phillyimprovtheater.com.

There are still just a few spaces left for the Christina Gausas master class, but we expect it will sell out within the next 24 hours – so don’t delay if you’re looking to get a spot there.

Duofest Workshops Open to the General Public!

2011
05.16

Hey Duofans!

We’re very excited to open our improv workshops and master classes to the public this morning and hope you’ll be jazzed by our offerings this year. If you see something you like, please register quickly and don’t say we didn’t warn you: the producers are expecting each workshop to sell out quickly.

So what are we offering this year? Two excellent master classes with Susan Messing (The Second City, iO, Annoyance) and Christina Gausas (iO, Annoyance, UCBNY). Both of these extraordinarily talented women have visited Philadelphia before and were big, sold-out hits so we are so excited to have them return and teach again.

You can use the navigation along the top of the site to look up the workshops and then register online with any major credit card, echeck, or a PayPal account.

JUST ADDED: Additional Show! (Saturday, June 4th at 6:02 p.m.)

2011
05.12

There has been a lot of early demand for tickets this year and we anticipate that we will not be able to accommodate everybody who wants to see every show – except for weekend or day pass holders, whose seats are guaranteed – so we’re adding an extra Saturday night slot to hopefully appease the crowds.

RuBin and OJ in a Sippy are two great groups who were on our waitlist and will now actually be in the fest, and we couldn’t be more excited to add them to our bill. We hope you’ll check their Duo pages out and then snap up some tickets!

Tickets & Day/Weekend Passes Now On Sale!

2011
05.10

We’re just a few weeks away from the second annual Duofest and if you already got a peek at the schedule you are probably eager to secure your seats for shows. You can do that now!

Day/Weekend passes are now available at our Tickets page, and you can grab individual show tickets by selecting them on our schedule pages or finding the Duo you are interested and seeing and purchasing tickets through their page. As if that wasn’t enough, you can also get tickets on the Philly Improv Theater website tickets page at www.phillyimprovtheater.com/tickets.html

If you’re not sure about how popular a show is going to be, why not check the Duofest Facebook Page and see how many people are attending each of the events. Once that number starts creeping above 20, you should probably buy a ticket in advance to guarantee your seat.
