Put the Relationship Back in Your Relationship Scenes

This class focuses on two-person improv scenes and how to get to the juicy truth and meaty funny parts of the scene while heightening the truth and the funny. Develop your skills with drills and exercises designed to help you a be better listener, communicator, co-creator and partner. Get it up and keep it up!

Rachel Madorsky and Dave Buckman are actors and teachers working in Austin, TX. They have trained, directed, performed and taught extensively at some of the world’s foremost comedy institutions, including The Second City in both Chicago and Cleveland, The Annoyance Theater and Improv Olympic Theater in Chicago, Boom!Chicago in Amsterdam and ComedySportz in both Chicago and Austin. In 2006, joined by Erika May & Bob McNichol, they formed The Frank Mills and have been consistently recognized by both the media and their peers ever since. Honors include; “Best Improv Troupe” awarded by the Austin Improv Collective; 2006, 2008 and 2010, The B. Iden Payne Award for “Outstanding Improvisation Ensemble” in 2006  and 2008 and “Best of the Fest” selection by Hyde Park Theater’s FronteraFest 2007. In addition, Dave was honored as “Best Improv Teacher” by the AIC in 2007 and won the B. Iden Payne Award in the same category in 2008. Rachel and Dave have served as faculty members at the ColdTowne Conservatory since its inception and in every show strive to bring the audience grounded, character-driven comedy that’s both funny and smart.
