Philadelphia International Airport
Visitors and performers planning to fly will arrive at Philadelphia International Airport – the only major airport serving the 5th largest metropolitan area in the United States. Located seven (7) miles from downtown Philadelphia, the Airport is easily accessible from Interstates 76, 95, and 476.
Amtrak 30th Street Station
30th Street Station is the main railroad station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is the heart of Philadelphia’s passenger rail network – serving as the hub for both SEPTA regional rail and Amtrak national rail service. Amtrak services the station with 9 major national routes coming from the north, south, and west – making travel from as far as Florida, Vermont and Chicago possible without changing trains. In addition, regular northeast corridor service from Boston in the north and Washington, DC in the south. Visitors coming from New York City can also reach 30th Street Station via NJTransit/SEPTA service by changing trains in Trenton, NJ.
Regional Rail Service to Center City
Rail service to and from the Airport is available on SEPTA’S High Speed Aiport Line train that operates from 5:25 AM until 11:25 PM daily, every 30 minutes, with easy connections to Center City via Amtrak 30th Street Station, Suburban Station (16th Street), and Market East Station (11th Street).
Taxi Service to Center City
Taxi service to and from the airport, as well as within the city, is provided by a variety of cab companies which are licensed by the Philadelphia Parking Authority. Cabs traveling from Philadelphia International Airport to Center City destinations charge a flat rate of $28.50 plus tip. Cabs within Center City are $2.70 at flag drop, and $2.30 for each additional mile. In summer, and at other times when gas prices are high, there may be an additional gas surcharge at flag drop.
